On October 18, 34 kindergarten students went to the Krusch Preserve for a morning of forest wonder. We were in 2 groups- an exploration group and an outdoor classroom group which did leaf tracings, had a snack and story time. Then the groups switched.
In forest exploration we walked into the field and looked at milkweed seeds and then walked into the forest and went looking for salamanders. Unfortunately we didn’t find any but we found some slugs, beetles, spiders and lots and lots of fungi.
The children enjoyed their morning.
