Annual Wildflower Walk, May 12th, 2024.

On Mother’s Day Vermont Master Naturalists Lara Weis and Mary Fiedler led their annual wildflower walk with 15 people attending. The weather was showery and cool, so the wildflowers were shy to show their faces. We did see Two-leaved Toothwort, Painted and Red Trillium, Three-leaved Goldthread, Cucumber root, Sweet White Violet, a blue violet, Dwarf Ginseng and Wood Anemone. We saw Wild Sarsaparilla, Northern Star Flower, Canada Mayflower,  Blue Bead Lily and  Trout Lily leaves. We saw Ostrich ferns and Jack in the Pulpit by the bog bridging. We believe in the next two weeks the preserve will have wildflowers blooming everywhere!
