Report on the Krusch Preserve Walk on 6/25/2023 – Vermont Butterfly Atlas
On Sunday 25 June 2023 Nathaniel Sharp of the Vermont Center for Ecostudies lead a walk on the Krusch Preserve and introduced us to the Vermont Butterfly Atlas. Being out with Nathaniel was an exciting experience despite the humidity and the haze from the fires north of us in Quebec, and was enjoyed by all.
VCE is heading up a five-year survey to locate the 115 species of butterfly that occur in Vermont, focusing on Priority Blocks (the Krusch Preserve is in one). Our walk located five species of butterfly. Click below to go to eButterfly and see the list and information on the five species sighted.
