In late 2026 the building of the one mile of new trails on the expansion property is well underway.
The improvment of the work roads on the expansion property – shown on the map in blue – has been undertaken by the community volunteers and the Cambridge Trails Committee. A short spur leads to the remains of a sugar house that appeared to be operating in the 1940’s and was evidently demolished by the 1960’s.
The building new trails through the woodland – shown on the map in red – has been completed by Rabbit Tracks Trail Works.
- The southerly “Dragon Brook Trail” runs high above the Dragon Brook Glen and features a short spur that overlooks the waterfalls.
. - The northerly “section “Old Yellow Birch trail” weaves through the woods to visit the Old yellow Birch, one of the biggest of its kind in New England.
The existing trails are shown on the map in white.
