Winter Nature Walk, January 25th, 2025

On January 25, Lara Weis and Mary Fiedler led a winter walk from 10:30-12:30.

The temperature was a  chilly 8 degrees at 10:30 – we had 5 participants. We walked up the main trail and then went and did a boundary walk so we could look for tracks in the snow. We found a porcupine tree that had a latrine of porcupine scat at the base and we saw fischer, fox, deer and squirrel tracks. We discovered an area with more than 10 deer beds! The sun was shining and the temperatures warmed up to 20 degrees by the end of the walk.
